KEARNS BRINGS OVER 25 YEARS OF TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE TO LEADERSHIP POSITION
NEW YORK, New York – August 25, 2011 – Viewpointe®, a leading provider of check image exchange and archive services, today announced that Kevin Kearns, chief technology officer (CTO), has been named to its executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. In his position, Kearns is responsible for the strategic direction of all Viewpointe systems and technology. The appointment is effective immediately.
Kearns joined Viewpointe in 2005 as its director of application delivery and was named CTO in 2008. He previously managed the technical delivery of all systems, including architecture, development and implementation. He was also responsible for establishing the core services team that developed and implemented Viewpointe’s check image sharing and exchange, and high performance archive services that are currently in operation.

In addition to his experience at Viewpointe, Kearns has managed the development of automation and high availability systems for large-scale services companies and start-ups in the telecom industry for operations and revenue assurance solutions. Prior to joining Viewpointe, he was responsible for the design, networking and processing of more than 16,000 ATMs at EDS. While at EDS, he was the primary architect of its patented, distributed processing environment used to operate the ATM network nationwide. Kearns has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UCLA and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickenson University in NJ.
