Originator Tools

This practical resource kit is designed to assist ACH Originators in understanding and complying with the ACH Rules. It includes a compliance self-assessment tool and our targeted education suite on CD. Viewpointe's Originator Tools have been updated to correspond to the new, simplified 2011 ACH Rules.

ACH Originator Compliance Self-Assessment Program

This easy-to-use series of standard entry class (SEC) code-specific evaluations and checklists allows users to assess their level of ACH Rules compliance for each SEC code they originate. After identifying non-compliant areas, clear references to the corresponding portion of ACH Rules are provided to determine the proper course of action and help ensure compliance going forward. Additionally, these tools can assist ACH originators in building ACH Rules-compliant procedures for new SEC codes they wish to begin originating.

ACH Originator Education Suite

This education suite assists ACH originators in understanding and complying with the ACH Rules as required by their ACH agreement with your financial institution. The pre-recorded presentations include two levels of training including:

Level 1 Relevant general principles of ACH for the newer originator or support staff; includes terminology, the network, its players and transaction basics

Level 2 More detailed information related to the rules applicable to each SEC code; designed to help management and staff understand their specific responsibilities for the SEC codes they originate

By using these programs, ACH originators can acquire valuable insights into industry rules, fulfill their internal training needs and identify areas of noncompliance to help lower the risk associated with ACH origination for themselves and you as their financial institution.
