Zions Chooses Viewpointe for Image Archive Services

ZIONS CHOOSES VIEWPOINTE FOR IMAGE ARCHIVE SERVICES

Salt Lake City, Utah- Zions Bancorporation, Salt Lake City, and Viewpointe Archive Services, LLC, announced today an agreement for image archiving services. Image archiving with Viewpointe will allow Zions Bank to provide new image-based services to its customers and reduce check-processing costs.
Implementation of imaging services, which will include check and check-related documents storage and retrieval, will begin immediately and it is anticipated that Zions will achieve full operational access of the Viewpointe check archive by the end of 2002.

According to Mr. Mike DeVico, Zions EVP, Technology & Operations, "We selected Viewpointe in the belief that they can support our check image storage/retrieval requirements as well as provide the potential for a more strategic relationship with NetDeposit, a Zions Bancorporation affiliate."

Viewpointe will archive images of all Zions check and check related documents and support high speed retrieval of check images so that back office operations, customer service personnel and eventually bank customers can directly access their own check images over the Internet within 24 hours of deposit or posting.
