Luminex and Viewpointe Archive Services Partner To Create Image Based CDS for Large U.S. Banks
LUMINEX AND VIEWPOINTE ARCHIVE SERVICES PARTNER TO CREATE IMAGE BASED CDS FOR LARGE U.S. BANKS
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - October 15, 2002 — Luminex Software, Inc., a leading supplier of data distribution, archiving and storage products, announced a strategic partnership with Viewpointe Archive Services, the foremost provider of check and document image archive and retrieval services in the United States. Under the agreement, Luminex will provide high-volume CD creation and distribution services on behalf of Viewpointe and its large financial customers.

Using Luminex’ Data/Ware CD™ product, bank specified check and document images are recorded onto CDs. In addition to CD-ROM creation, Luminex developed a complementary application for CD-ROM shipping and distribution. Called Power Scan&Ship™, the software barcodes the CDs, creates waybills, interfaces to major couriers (e.g. FedEx, UPS, USPS, Airborne) to schedule and manage the shipments, and ensures quality.
Mr. Lettko added, “Through our partnership with Luminex, we are able to continue to extend the value of our national archive by publishing and distributing tens of thousands of CDs monthly under strict time constraints for our large financial image customers.”
The image based CDs produced by Luminex and Viewpointe will provide cost-effective distribution of historical transactional information that financial institutions’ commercial customers demand. This new relationship allows Viewpointe’s financial customers to eliminate the equipment and infrastructure costs associated with in-house CD production and distribution.
