HSBC Selects Viewpointe's National Image Archive for its Enterprise Imaging Strategy
HSBC SELECTS VIEWPOINTE'S NATIONAL IMAGE ARCHIVE FOR ITS ENTERPRISE IMAGING STRATEGY
New York, New York- HSBC Bank USA, New York, and Viewpointe Archive Services, LLC, announced today a long-term agreement for image archiving services. Image archiving with Viewpointe will allow HSBC to quickly provide new image-based services to its customers, considerably reduce check-processing costs and exchange check images securely with other Viewpointe customers.
HSBC Bank USA, which has combined assets with its US holding company, HSBC USA Inc., of $87.6 billion, will use Viewpointe to archive a half billion images annually.
According to Mr. Thomas Kaiser, senior vice president of HSBC Bank USA, Viewpointe's ability to scale, performance reputation, deep experience in the image archiving business, along with the opportunity to exchange images with ther Viewpointe customers were several key reasons for the selection.
"Imaging has been a strategic objective for HSBC Bank USA for some time. Partnering with Viewpointe will allow us to realize the sizeable benefits of imaging faster with less risk. Having Viewpointe as our experienced archiving partner enables us to focus on creating new products and services that help us service our customers better. Viewpointe will archive images of all check and check related documents processed by HSBC Bank USA. Viewpointe will support high speed retrieval of check images so that back office operations, customer service personnel and even bank customers can directly access their own check images over the Internet within 24 hours of deposit or posting. Check Solutions, a Carreker Company, provides image archive software technology to Viewpointe, and will furnish HSBC Bank USA with software and services to image enable its enterprise-wide prime pass capture operations feeding check images to the Viewpointe archive.
