FLEET SELECTS VIEWPOINTE FOR IMAGE ARCHIVE SOLUTION Banking Leader Will Utilize Viewpointe’s Image Services to Better Serve Customers
Hartford, CT–Viewpointe Archive Services, LLC announced today that FleetBoston Financial Corporation (NYSE: FBF) signed a long-term agreement to implement Viewpointe’s check image archiving technology. Fleet will utilize Viewpointe’s national image archive to electronically store and rapidly access checks and other financial documents in order to enhance its existing delivery services to bank customers and reduce check processing costs.
Viewpointe’s imaging services will provide Fleet the ability to better serve its retail and commercial customers by providing immediate access to their check information through new products and existing channels. In addition, Viewpointe will enhance Fleet’s ability to process and store check information. Ultimately, Fleet will be positioned to benefit from participating in Viewpointe’s image exchange program – a financial services industry capability that eliminates the costs and inefficiencies associated with the transportation and duplicate processing of paper based payments.
