First Tennessee Selects Viewpointe for Complete Check Image Sharing and Image Exchange Solution
FIRST TENNESSEE SELECTS VIEWPOINTE FOR COMPLETE CHECK IMAGE SHARING AND IMAGE EXCHANGE SOLUTION First Tennessee will Leverage Viewpointe’s Solution to Provide Image Services to its Banking Customers
Memphis, TN, February 18, 2004 – First Tennessee (NYSE: FTN) and Viewpointe announced today that First Tennessee will use Viewpointe’s complete check image sharing and image exchange solution. Viewpointe will provide First Tennessee with implementation services, the image sharing solution built exclusively for Viewpointe banks, and the gateway and infrastructure for sending and receiving check images to financial institutions outside the Viewpointe archive. The solutions provided will deliver greater check clearing efficiencies and enable First Tennessee to offer image-enhanced First Expressä check clearing solutions to their banking customers.

Viewpointe will provide the infrastructure that enables First Tennessee to share check images with other banks within the Viewpointe archive and will supply connectivity to other check exchanges and archives. Viewpointe will also offer optional services such as image quality assurance and transcoding. First Tennessee will continue to settle their check payments as they do today.
